WOW!! See Why Barcelona Star Lionel Messi Could Miss The 2018 World Cup (Read)

Published

on

Lionel Messi makes a return from a ban for Argentina against Uruguay on Thursday, as his country faces the prospect of missing out on a World Cup final for the first time since 1970.

Two wins from their last seven qualifiers has seen the two-time World Cup winners in danger of not making it to Russia next year.

Argentina, ranked third in the world by FIFA and on their third coach of the qualification process, are fifth in the CONMEBOL standings with four fixtures left.

As it stands, they could miss out on an automatic qualification spot and instead play the winner of the Oceania qualification process (most likely New Zealand) in a play-off to grab a ticket.

However, Ecuador are just two points behind Argentina ahead of Thursday’s round of fixtures, and Jorge Sampaoli’s team travel to Montevideo to take on third-placed Uruguay.

The Uruguay squad will be nervous too. They have lost their last three qualifiers, conceding nine in the process.

If Argentina wants to remain on track for Russia 2018, they need three points against Uruguay and three more against bottom side Venezuela on Tuesday, before a winnable home clash with Peru in October.

SAD UPDATE!! Leicester City Owner Was On Board Crashed Helicopter

Published

on

The Leicester City owner’s helicopter has crashed in a car park outside the club’s ground as it left the stadium following a Premier League match.

Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha was in the helicopter when it came down at about 20:30 BST on Saturday, a source close to the family has told the BBC.

One witness said he saw Leicester player Kasper Schmeichel run out of the stadium towards the scene of the crash.

It is not known how many other people were on board the helicopter.

Leicester had drawn 1-1 against West Ham United at the King Power Stadium, with the match finishing about one hour before the helicopter took off from the pitch.

Witnesses said they saw it just clear the stadium before it spiralled out of control, with some describing seeing a fireball as it crashed.

The club said it was assisting police and emergency services and would issue a more detailed statement in due course.

Under Mr Srivaddhanaprabha’s ownership, Leicester City won the Premier League in 2016, having started the season as 5,000/1 outsiders.

Even Messi Will Struggle At Manchester United – Paul Scholes

Published

on

Former Manchester United player Paul Scholes believes Manchester United have sunk so low that even Lionel Messi would struggle to shine for his old club at the moment.

Scholes claimed that United are turning into the new Liverpool while their old rivals and Manchester City laugh at them. And that Alexis Sanchez is too selfish to be a United player but can’t be sold because of the wages he was offered to turn down City.

He added:

Mourinho’s side will struggle to win the Premier League title with Romelu Lukaku leading the attack. Paul Pogba’s cockiness means he will switch off after showing everyone how good he is.

He’s ‘scared’ that United will lose their best players like Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford because of the way they have been treated by the manager.

The old Mourinho has gone and been replaced by a man who moans too much and cannot get the best out of his players.

Lionel Messi’s family brand Diego Maradona ‘ignorant’ for discrediting the Barcelona star

Lionel Messi‘s family have hit back at Diego Maradona after the Argentinian soccer legend launched an attack at the Barcelona star

During an interview on Mexican television, Maradona accused his fellow compatriot Lionel Messi of not being a natural leader for Argentina and urged his country to stop treating the Barcelona icon as a ‘God’. Read previous report here.

Now Messi’s cousin Maxi Biancucchi has hit back by saying Maradona was ‘ignorant’ over his comments.

The 34-year-old, a professional footballer with second division Paraguayan side Rubio Nu who is nicknamed El Primo de Messi – Spanish for Messi’s cousin – raged: ‘It’s ignorant to discredit Leo.

‘It’s sad to see how someone who boasts of being a leader can talk so badly about a player who’s currently the best we’ve got and will probably be so for a long time yet.

And he’s done it at a time when he should be helping to rebuild if he loves the national side as he says he does.’
