New Paris Saint German coach Tuchel relishes working with ‘artist’ Neymar

Published

on

New Paris Saint-Germain coach Thomas Tuchel insisted that Neymar is “an artist” and admitted that the world’s most expensive player will need “special treatment” as he looked forward to starting his new role.

Tuchel was unveiled to the media at the Parc des Princes on Sunday evening after his appointment on a two-year deal was confirmed last week.

He will officially begin his new job in time for the start of pre-season training in July as he replaces Unai Emery, but the German has already met with Neymar.

“I met him last Sunday and it was a very good meeting. He’s an artist, an exceptional player, one of the best in the world,” said Tuchel, who was previously in charge at Borussia Dortmund but left a year ago and had been a free agent since.

“Artists are special players, they need special treatment, it’s common sense.”

Neymar joined PSG last August from Barcelona for a world-record fee of 222 million euros ($264 million).

He won the French player of the year prize despite a foot injury means he has not featured for his club since the end of February.

There has been constant speculation that the 26-year-old’s stay in Paris could be a short one, with Real Madrid linked to a move for the Brazilian star.

But PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi has vehemently denied any suggestion that Neymar will depart after just one year in Ligue 1.

Tuchel added: “I met a very friendly, very open guy for the first time. We started talking about soccer and I saw a smile on his face and that is what I want to see.

“If we find a way to build a structure around him, so he can show all his talent on the pitch, I think we have a key player to win our games.”

SAD UPDATE!! Leicester City Owner Was On Board Crashed Helicopter

Published

on

The Leicester City owner’s helicopter has crashed in a car park outside the club’s ground as it left the stadium following a Premier League match.

Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha was in the helicopter when it came down at about 20:30 BST on Saturday, a source close to the family has told the BBC.

One witness said he saw Leicester player Kasper Schmeichel run out of the stadium towards the scene of the crash.

It is not known how many other people were on board the helicopter.

Leicester had drawn 1-1 against West Ham United at the King Power Stadium, with the match finishing about one hour before the helicopter took off from the pitch.

Witnesses said they saw it just clear the stadium before it spiralled out of control, with some describing seeing a fireball as it crashed.

The club said it was assisting police and emergency services and would issue a more detailed statement in due course.

Under Mr Srivaddhanaprabha’s ownership, Leicester City won the Premier League in 2016, having started the season as 5,000/1 outsiders.

Even Messi Will Struggle At Manchester United – Paul Scholes

Published

on

Former Manchester United player Paul Scholes believes Manchester United have sunk so low that even Lionel Messi would struggle to shine for his old club at the moment.

Scholes claimed that United are turning into the new Liverpool while their old rivals and Manchester City laugh at them. And that Alexis Sanchez is too selfish to be a United player but can’t be sold because of the wages he was offered to turn down City.

He added:

Mourinho’s side will struggle to win the Premier League title with Romelu Lukaku leading the attack. Paul Pogba’s cockiness means he will switch off after showing everyone how good he is.

He’s ‘scared’ that United will lose their best players like Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford because of the way they have been treated by the manager.

The old Mourinho has gone and been replaced by a man who moans too much and cannot get the best out of his players.

Lionel Messi’s family brand Diego Maradona ‘ignorant’ for discrediting the Barcelona star

Lionel Messi‘s family have hit back at Diego Maradona after the Argentinian soccer legend launched an attack at the Barcelona star

During an interview on Mexican television, Maradona accused his fellow compatriot Lionel Messi of not being a natural leader for Argentina and urged his country to stop treating the Barcelona icon as a ‘God’. Read previous report here.

Now Messi’s cousin Maxi Biancucchi has hit back by saying Maradona was ‘ignorant’ over his comments.

The 34-year-old, a professional footballer with second division Paraguayan side Rubio Nu who is nicknamed El Primo de Messi – Spanish for Messi’s cousin – raged: ‘It’s ignorant to discredit Leo.

‘It’s sad to see how someone who boasts of being a leader can talk so badly about a player who’s currently the best we’ve got and will probably be so for a long time yet.

And he’s done it at a time when he should be helping to rebuild if he loves the national side as he says he does.’
